Hostess

As our Restaurant Hostess, you'll be the face of our restaurant and the first person guests meet when they arrive. You'll welcome every guest warmly, manage reservations and seating, and work closely with the service team to keep each meal running smoothly. This role suits someone who is friendly, well presented and calm under pressure, and who wants to grow a career in luxury hospitality in the Maldives.

1. Greet guests warmly on arrival and escort them to their tables
2. Manage reservations, walk-ins and waitlists efficiently
3. Allocate tables to balance guest preferences and the servers' workload
4. Present menus and share information about the restaurant and daily specials
5. Coordinate with servers and the kitchen so service runs smoothly
6. Note guest preferences, special occasions and dietary requests
7. Handle guest enquiries, requests and feedback professionally, and pass issues to the supervisor when needed
8. Keep the entrance and reception area clean, organised and welcoming
9. Thank guests as they leave and invite them back
10. Follow grooming, hygiene and service standards at all times

1. At least 1 year of experience as a Hostess or in a similar F&B role, ideally in a hotel or resort
2. Excellent spoken English; other languages are an advantage
3. Friendly, confident and guest-focused
4. Well groomed, with a professional appearance
5. Strong communication and organisational skills
6. Able to stay calm and efficient during busy service
7. Familiar with reservation systems (such as SevenRooms or OpenTable) is a plus
8. Able to work shifts, weekends and public holidays
9. A good team player with a positive attitude

1. Experience in a luxury resort or fine-dining restaurant
2. Knowledge of a second language, such as Russian, Chinese, German, Italian or Arabic
3. Hands-on experience with reservation or POS systems (such as SevenRooms, OpenTable or Micros)
4. Basic knowledge of food, wine and beverages
5. A food hygiene or hospitality certificate
6. Previous experience working in the Maldives
